These nutritious flakes are ideal for making rice porridge or a tasty creamy rice pudding or for use in home baking. It can also be used for creamy soups and stews as well as in granola and muesli. Rice flakes go through more processing than any other rice, but they still retain much of their nutritional value. They are first partially steam cooked, they are then rolled and flattened and finally dehydrated. This resulting rice is soft and mushy when cooked with a mild taste.
