Quay Co-op Private Meetings & Events Space

The Pawnbroker’s Office is our private meeting & event space at The Quay Co-op. This historic space is available for private dining, for meetings and cocktail reception-style events. As the name suggests, this beautiful room which overlooks the River Lee through floor to ceiling sash window, was once the office of the Pawnbroker-the previous occupant. Today this bright meeting & event venue on our second floor has been tastefully restored, complete with working antique fireplace and maintaining it’s period features. With our 40+ year long history of promoting social change, this space has always been a pivotal meeting place and was, in the past, HQ for women’s groups, CND and the LGBTQ community campaigns. We are delighted to be able to offer this very special private space for business and social groups to book.

In terms of refereshments, meeting and event planners have a number of options available. Our delicious Vegetarian and Vegan fare is available to meeting delegates within the room or delegates can take a change of scene and enjoy lunch in our Vegetarian Restaurant, Upstairs (which is actually located downstairs from The Pawnbroker’s Office!). In addition, Tea and Coffee making facilities are incorporated in the room so attendees can enjoy barista-class fairtrade coffee throughout their event. Scones & baked goods can be pre-ordered from our in-house craft bakery.
