Upstairs at the Co-op is our Vegetarian restaurant which has been a staple of Cork’s food scene since 1982. Spacious dining spaces, overlooking the river Lee at the front and the kitchen at the back, are usually abuzz with lively topical conversation as fresh as the food. Vegetarians are spoilt for choice (which you will know if you are one, is very rare) with a menu also featuring lots of vegan, gluten-friendly & nut-free options. The relaxed nature inspired atmosphere, and our friendly, attentive wait staff make it a perfect place to dine.
Dishes are always created using the freshest ingredients, many of which are also available for take away in our Downstairs Deli & in the grocery store. For those on a plant based diet, you can rest assured that Upstairs and all of The Quay Co-op is exclusively vegetarian; with our focus is on sourcing sustainable produce and creating delicious dishes to please all palates.
Upstairs at The Co-op is open Wednesday to Saturday from 12 noon with last orders at 8pm. Please make an advance reservation. Walk-ins are accommodated whenever possible. See below for a sample menu and please note that the menu may vary according to seasonal availability of produce.
