Description

Rye is a grass grown extensively as a grain, a cover crop and a forage crop. It is a member of the wheat tribe and is closely related to both wheat and barley.

It is both a nutritious and versatile grain. Sprouted rye  grains are delicious in salads and wraps – they can can be sprouted by first soaking the grains in water, then rinse and drain, and keep moist inside a jar for a period of 1 to 5 days.

Whole rye grain is also perfect for grinding to into flour to make your own fresh flour at home!
